MEDITATION: Becoming a Land Flowing With Milk And Honey (Parashat Ki Tavo)

In this meditation we explore the movement from the harsh labor of Egypt to “a land flowing with milk and honey” described by the bringer of new fruits in the Bikkurim ceremony (Deuteronomy 26:1-11). We find those places of Egypt in ourselves, places of tightness and tension and harshness around productivity, and we practice unfreezing those tight spots of control and force, moving from solid to liquid form, lying down in the divine river flowing with nourishing milk and honey and becoming part of it, feeling that in our body and learning to approach things with greater ease, grace, trust and eventually gratitude and joy.
