MEDITATION: Shalom, Peace (Parashat Naso)

Feel the blanket of quiet and calm descend upon you and seep into you in this meditation on the last phrase of the priestly blessing, “May God grant you peace” (Numbers 6:26). Enjoy a story about Hillel along the way (Shabbat 31a) and a message of radical acceptance of all your (even difficult) feelings, dropping the tug of war and reaching out a hand of friendship. Also referenced — and partially sung — is an old Israeli folk song, simi yadekh ve’yadi, “put your hand in my hand.”
