We need not be Avraham to connect to God. We can be lonely and distraught in the desert, like Hagar, runinng away from our life. We can feel ashamed and dsiappointed in ourselves, and God will still send messengers to meet us where we are. The messengers won’t be perfect. They may say the wrong thing sometimes and struggle to find their way to reach us, but in the end the message will come through — God sees us and loves us. (Based on Genesis 16)
