This meditation focuses on the word tzohar, a word meaning something related to light. God commanded Noah to put a tzohar in the ark, which we understand as a commandment to preserve the light as well as the creatures through the flood. We consider how our own inner light, our sacred fire of power and hope and agency and possibility, how that light gets dimmed through the winds of this life, and what we can do to tend to it and help it burn more brightly, to manifest its true brilliant colors like a rainbow.
