In this meditation, we look at the prohibition against making use of the Chanukah light and consider how it invites us into an intrinsic orientation towards value instead of a utilitarian one. We apply that to ourselves and our own light, exploring what it would mean to really believe in our own intrinsic divine value, that we are worthwhile simply because we exist, not because we perform or produce or serve or are useful.
