The High Priest carried the names of the people on two stones on his shoulders and on 12 precious stones on his breastplate. He carried the people on his shoulders and on his heart. Whom do you carry on your shoulders and your heart? In this meditation, we explore what is different about how the High Priest carried people — “before God,” not on his own — and how that translates for us in our own ongoing concern for those we care about and carry with us.
