MEDITATION: The Stance of “Hineni”: Here I am (Parashat Vayera)

Avraham is the first to say Hineni, “Here I am.” He says it three times this week as part of the akedah (Binding of Isaac) journey. In this meditation, we explore what this Hineni stance feels like, with each of the nuances of the steps along Avraham’s way, and we consider how such a Hineni stance might helps us face our own trials. Some of the themes that emerge concern mindfulness, presence, confidence, courage, trust, connection and flexibility. Hineni is a way of living into your fullest possible self in this present moment.
