During the flood, Noah and his family spent their time taking care of the many varied needs of the animals in the ark. They rode through a sea of death and destruction in a vehicle of kindness. In this meditation, we consider this story as a model for our own beleaguered state of being, and work to create such an ark inside us, both a personal and a communal ark, to help us pass through the dark night and hold fast to the light.
