We often think of Yom Kippur as a time of judgment, but it is actually a time of forgiveness, love and compassion. In this meditation, we explore these themes as they appear in the 13 Attributes of God, in the al het‘s (our liturgical listing of sins), in the story of Jonah, and in ourselves. What we find is a God who is steady with us through it all, patiently waiting for us to realize how much we are loved.
