MEDITATION: To The Land That I will Show you (Parashat Lech Lecha)

Avram is called to step out onto a path toward a land that God will show him. We each recieve this call each day, a call to trust and be open to what God wants to show us, to let go of the (childhood and ancestral) burdens of control and fear and self doubt, and move forward with trust and patience in the emerging path to our fullest selves. We are not shown just once, but continuously, each step as we are ready. In this meditation, we explore what stops us from trusting in this way and also get a glimpse of what such trust might feel like, physically and emotionally.

  1. I was very touched by this meditation. We all have our trials and often tread in unknown paths, with faith and positive intention guiding us. Facing the unknown and trusting the unknown are the greatest challenges. There was a hopeful underlying energy that we do not walk alone but we are being guided and comforted despite the unknown process and outcome which can be challenging. Despite the aloneness of the process we are not treading alone. Thanks for inspiring me today.

Thank you for this beautiful reflection, Rachel. We all carry burdens and face crossroads continuously in our lives. It’s scary to move on, but knowing that G’d is with us, gives us the courage to take the first step and begin a journey that will bring blessings to us and the people around us.

I welcome your thoughts:
